I discovered blues music when I was in college. I found all the classic blues artists on LPs in the library.
I sat in there many days with headphones on digging what I was hearing. I grew up poor and worked hard
which is what put me in college on grants and loans. But man! I related to the hard life vocals I heard on those
blues records. Here's one of my own called "The Truth About Mississippi" cowritten and sang by Mr. Rob Robinson,
owner of Pucketts Country Store in Leipers Fork, TN, a "true blue son of Mississippi hisself" and my good friend,
Dave McCormick of West Virginia.
